Tom is a strategic leader and expert in fabrication craft. With over 15 years in the mining industry, he transitioned from workshop manager to founder, and co-founded MTE in 2014 alongside Matt Glasser.
Tom's strategic vision introduced new services, expanded into new markets, and fostered a strong work culture driving Mine Tech Engineering's ongoing success and growth.

Matt is a technical leader known for his hands-on approach to business. Having more than three decades of experience, he co-founded MTE with Tom with the vision to build an extraordinary business.
Starting with just a single vehicle, basic equipment, and an empty shed, paired with unwavering determination, they have grown MTE to 300 professionals servicing multiple industries.

Mark is an accomplished leader with expertise in business development, construction management, and operations. With a background that began at sea, Mark honed his discipline in processes and strategic thinking through extensive experience in the Aquaculture, Mining, Defence, and Construction sectors. Mark is passionate about cultivating thriving work environments and emphasises the value of cohesive teams with a clear purpose.

Grant Mathieson
Ken McBride brings a wealth of experience to the field of operations, notably within the mining industry. He directs surface operations at Olympic Dam in South Australia. Before assuming this position, Ken served as Surface Operations Manager and Mine Manager at Terramin Australia Limited, as well as Viticulturist Manager at Orlando Wines. With his diverse background, Ken is a valuable asset to our team.

Mine Tech Engineering & Construction Setup
Co-Founders Matt Glasser and Tom Glazbrook establish Mine Tech in a small workshop in Roxby Downs offering SMP manufacture and construction at BHP Olympic Dam.
2015
BHP Ad-Hoc Maintenance Contract
First long-term contract with BHP covering the ad hoc provision of labour and technical services to Olympic Dam.
2019
BHP Modifications and Operations Contract
Long-term contract with BHP expanding our offering into major projects, including the Raise Bore ventilation system, underground saline, Cons Leach fabrication and Concentrate Thickener Integrity project.

With a focus on diversifying our customer portfolio, the Headquarters of Mine Tech was moved to Edinburgh SA in order to better serve a wide variety of market sectors including Resources, Oil & Gas, Defence, Industrial and Renewables.

Pipetech
Acquisition
The acquisition brings the largest designer and manufacturer of Pressure Vessels in South Australia into the MTE team. The integration team transferred all people, assets, intellectual property and know-how into the MTE business.
